❄️Wethersfield Lights Up with Winter Lights Contest!❄️
The Town of Wethersfield is highlighting and recognizing businesses participating in the annual Winter Lights Contest in an effort to brighten up Wethersfield during the darker winter months. Specifically, the contest invited property owners in and near commercial zones to display lights from the end of January through February 28th, 2026.
The following businesses decided to sign up and are currently displaying lights in the PM:
- Aroma Bistro, 227 Main Street
- Birdie’s, 135 Main Street
- MTC Hair Studio, 1079 Silas Deane Hwy
- Neill Walsh Goldsmiths, 125 Main Street
- Salon Paris, 939 Silas Deane Hwy
- The Charles, 161 Main Street
- Train Wreck Vintage, 225 Main Street
Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the displays. This event is sponsored by the Economic Development & Improvement Commission (EDIC). The Town hopes the contest encourages visitors to shop/dine/engage with our local businesses throughout the winter. The Town of Wethersfield wishes to thank all participants in this winter event.
A total of $2,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to participants in the following categories: “Winter Wonderland”, “Classic Wethersfield” and “Fun and Creative”. Prizes will be matched with a contribution to a Wethersfield charity! The local charity must be a 501c3 Organization, however the Wethersfield Food Bank also qualifies.
All lights must be on from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM minimum for judging purposes. Winners will be announced by early February 15th.
