Wethersfield Library Hosts Food Drive in July to Support Local Families
Fines Are Out – Donating Food Is In! This July, the Wethersfield Library invites residents to support their neighbors by participating in a Food Drive, benefiting the Wethersfield Food Bank.
While the Library is now fine free, and there is no more Food for Fines, Wethersfield residents are still encouraged to show their generosity by donating non-perishable food items throughout the month. Donations will be accepted from July 1 through July 31, 2025, at the Wethersfield Library, located at 515 Silas Deane Highway.
Most needed items include canned pasta, white or brown rice, canned chunk chicken, jelly in plastic containers, peanut butter, tuna in water, canned fruit in 100% juice, low-sodium soups, pasta sauce, no-salt-added canned vegetables, granola bars, Nutri-Grain bars, peanut butter crackers, small bags or boxes of rice, instant mashed potatoes, instant oatmeal, and cereal. Please check expiration dates and donate only unexpired items. Even a few items can make a big difference for a local family in need.
Donated food cannot be used to “pay” for lost or damaged library materials. Let’s come together this July to support the Wethersfield community—one can at a time!
Wethersfield Library is located at 515 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield CT.
