Bruce Henley will give an overview of the Buttolph-Williams House, when the house was acquired, the murky origins of the structure, the early owners, Frederic Palmer’s restoration, the collections and, for the romance part, The Witch of Blackbird Pond.

About Our Guest Speaker
Bruce Henley holds music degrees with honor from the Hartt School of the University of Hartford. Private study continued in London and Oxford, England. Organist-Choirmaster positions were held in several churches in the greater Hartford area and Mr. Henley served as a teacher at the Hartt School in the Community Division as well as giving courses at the college level. He is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, a national honorary music fraternity. Currently Mr. Henley is a guide and teacher at the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum in Wethersfield, Connecticut, and owns a small antiques business, New England Home Antiques, specializing in early American furniture and period accessories.
