Historian Mary Mahoney will give a talk on bibliotherapy, or the use of books as medicine. Have you ever turned to a book for consolation? Treasured the escape of a comic book? Found comfort in a poem, self-help book, or simply from reading the newspaper?

This talk will explain the many uses of books as medicine in our world today and its history. Attendees will also be invited to reflect on their own lives as readers. The program will take place on Zoom on Thursday February 23rd at 6:30 PM.
