Eleanor Buck Wolf Day
June 9, 11:00am – 2:00pm. Eleanor Buck Wolf Day
A FREE day of fun and education on the grounds of the Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center in Mill Woods Park, 156 Prospect Street, Wethersfield.
Featured is an outdoor presentation at 11:30 with 4 live raptors including a BALD EAGLE. Don’t miss an educational program about these majestic birds, their habitats, their stories, and ways we can help to protect them.
Presentation is by Horizon Wings. They have several raptors that cannot be released back into the wild due to their injuries. They keep these birds at their center in Ashford and, with a special permit, use them for educational programs.
Also enjoy visiting with our animals inside and see some of the reptiles in their new habitats. There will be crafts for the little ones in the program room. Enjoy the fun outside with the ever popular “build-a-bird-house” where you can assemble your very own FREE bird house to take home.
