June 15th, July 12th, and August 12th. Wethersfield Library 2021 Summer Reading Program Series: Connecticut Wildlife

Join us for an all ages wildlife Zoom series presented by Ginny Apple, DEEP Master Wildlife Conservationist. The series kicks off on Tuesday June 15th with Bobcats: Connecticut’s Secretive Wild Cat. Learn about the history of bobcats in Connecticut, their habitat, diet, behavior, reproduction and current research efforts. Monday July 12th, join us for Owls: Magnificent Birds of Prey to learn about their natural history, habits and habitats and discover which owls are year-round residents of Connecticut. The series will wrap-up on Thursday August 12th with Life of Beavers. Learn about Beaver biology, behavior and history and their unique role as nature’s engineers. Discover how local Beaver ponds and wetlands can help fight environmental problems from water pollution to erosion and climate change.

All programs begin at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required. Register by email: library@wethersfieldlibrary.org. Wethersfield Library is located at 515 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield CT.
