On June 7th Wethersfield Historical Society presents Peabody Essex Museum Associate Director of Collections and The H.A. Crosby Forbes Curator of Asian Export Art, Karina Corrigan, who will speak about the thriving and cosmopolitan Chinese port city of Guangzhou and its impact on life in early 19th century Connecticut. The Canton in Connecticut: Early American engagement with China lecture will take place in the Keeney Center Ballroom, 200 Main Street at 7 pm. Members free, general public $10.
