September 16 & 18 Ancient Burying Ground Tours

WHS popular Ancient Burying Ground Tours return in-person beginning on Thursday, September 16 at 1:00 pm and Saturday, September 18 at 10:00 am. Join WHS Research Librarian Martha Smart for an informative and engaging 90-minute tour that includes stops at the graves of Wethersfield notables Gershom Bulkeley (Puritan minister), Elizabeth Scott Williams (Colonial poet), freedman Quash Gomer and many others.

Tours meet at the red barn beside the First Church parking lot. Tickets are $5 for the general public. WHS members receive free admission. (These tours will be repeated Thursday, October 21 at 1:00 pm and Saturday, October 23 at 10:00 am).
