Your art journey continues this summer with this immersive drawing experience! Whether you are new to drawing or are looking to fine tune your technique, instructor Pete Anderson will lead you through key concepts and approaches that will develop your skills in producing natural, realistic likenesses of still life, portrait, and the human figure. This class in essence recreates the classic “atelier” experience. Each session begins with demonstrations by Pete on chief topics, and follows with individualized direction and critiques. Visiting art instructors will be invited to our sessions to offer their own perspectives and critiques. In addition to six (6) weekly sessions, this class includes access to the Academy’s open sketch sessions that take place on Monday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Each sketch session is monitored and includes a live model. 

Students are encouraged to bring their own personal projects. Graphite and charcoal will be used. This class is valuable to students of all skill levels; please email with any questions.
