CT and the High Seas
December 12th, 6:30pm. Connecticut’s Forgotten Relationship with the High Seas
In-person program; For Adults
Most of Connecticut’s coastline abuts Long Island Sound. As you venture east, the Sound becomes the Atlantic Ocean. Over the centuries, CT sailors have taken to the high seas on some very notable and remarkable journeys, including the crew from New London, Connecticut who recovered the lost British ship The Resolute, from which the President’s Oval Office desk was made. You will hear this high sea tale and many more on Thursday December 12th at 6:30pm presented by noted podcaster and storyteller Mike Allen from the podcast Amazing Tales From Off and On Connecticut’s Beaten Path.
