“A Christmas Carol” in the Hurlbut-Dunham House
December 14 and 21, 5:00 pm – WHS presents “A Christmas Carol” in the Hurlbut-Dunham House
Wethersfield Historical Society presents a unique performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol in the double parlor of the Hurlbut-Dunham House. Time’s Fool Theatre Company’s Wesley Broulik reprises his acclaimed one-man show accompanied by only a solo cello and your imagination. You’ll see Dickens’ beloved characters come to life before your eyes – Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and Ebenezer Scrooge – in the familiar setting of the Hurlbut-Dunham House, decked out for the holidays and ready to celebrate a Victorian Christmas.
This performance is given for the benefit of Wethersfield Historical Society. Only 20 tickets are being sold to each performance of this unique theatrical event. In addition to admittance to the show, attendees will enjoy seasonal refreshments served at 4:30 pm preceding the performance. Guests will enjoy prosecco or sweet cider along with other holiday favorites. Tickets are $50 per person and go on sale Friday, November 1. They can be purchased online through a link on the society’s website or you can save the convenience fees and buy them in-person at the Old Academy (150 Main Street) for cash or check. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
