Annual Wethersfield Art League Plein Air Show

October 19th & 20th, 12:00pm – 2:00pm. 1st Annual Wethersfield Art League Plein Air Show

The league is excited to present our first showing to the public Sat and Sun October 19 & 20 from 12:00-2:00pm at the Little Red Schoolhouse, 193 Wells Road, Wethersfield.

The Plein Air group has grown and will be displaying spirited, spontaneous works of art in the raw for the public to enjoy. You will recognize many of the locations and there will be a section for paintings done in Wethersfield. Both framed and unframed works will be shown. We will also have a Food Pantry donation box if you are inspired to give.
You may have seen us painting in our town and other nearby towns. It takes a lot of passion for an artist to step out of their studio and paint among the elements with a portable set up. The pleasure of your viewing is wonderful support for both the artists and the league, and many pieces will be for sale.

For all the wannabe outdoor painters, the Wethersfield Art League has a Plein Air email list that is free for the public to join. Once on the list you will get emails giving a location to meet and paint with others as you wish. An art league sponsorship is required to participate in their shows.
