Soldier Reenactment at wethersfield Library

March 5, 6:30pm. African-American Civil War Soldier Reenactment at wethersfield Library

Kevin Johnson will reenact the life of William Webb, an African-American Civil War Soldier from Hartford, Connecticut. Webb was recruited in 1863 and served in the Twenty-Ninth (Colored) Regiment. The program will be held Thursday, March 5th at 6:30 p.m.

The presentation is based on extensive research from the collections of the Connecticut State Library and the Museum of Connecticut History. Kevin Johnson is an employee of the State Library’s History and Genealogy Unit.

All are welcome. Registration is required. You may register in person at the Wethersfield Library or by calling the Information Desk at 860-257-2811.
