Rice & Beans + Chili Cook-Off at Trinity Episcopal Church, 300 Main Street, Wethersfield, Sunday, October 20, 5 pm. Trinity and St. James’ Episcopal Church, Glastonbury are partnering for this event which has “taken on a life of its own” over the last 12 years. Christ Episcopal, Middle Haddam and St. Andrews, Rocky Hill will also be participating this year. Come join us for a fun evening and sample all the great recipes our talented cooks provide. Then vote for your favorites in the People’s Choice category. All proceeds go to St. Vincent’s Center for Disabled Children in Haiti where 100 deaf, 60 blind, ad 40 children in wheelchairs receive special educational opportunities and life skills training. Pay at the door cost is $10 for adults, $3 for children (ages 3-12), $25 for a family of 5 (2 adults only).
