Lantern Light Tours

October 18 & 19, 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Tenth Annual Lantern Light Tours

Wethersfield Historical Society guides visitors through the town’s Ancient Burying Ground and other sites in a theatrical exploration of Wethersfield history, as told by several of its deceased residents. In honor of the 10th Anniversary, all the historical figures on this year’s program have been drawn from Lantern Light Tours past, although this particular collection of characters (and the actors portraying them) have never appeared together before. The evening begins and ends at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center at 200 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT 06109 with hot cider and cookies. In the event of inclement weather, October 20th has been scheduled as a rain date.

Timed tickets go on sale September 19th. They are available online through a link at the Society’s web-site, www.wethersfieldhistory.org or at the front desk of the Old Academy, 150 Main Street, Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 4pm. Tickets are $20. Tours are not recommended for children under 13. Advanced tickets are recommended as tours sell out quickly. Tours are an hour long and begin at 6:30pm, leaving every 15 minutes thereafter until 8pm.
