Lantern Light Tours

OCTOBER 19 & 20, 6:30 – 8:00PM. LANTERN LIGHT TOURS

Wethersfield Historical Society will be hosting Old Wethersfield Lantern Light Tours on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20, 2018 in beautiful Old Wethersfield. Hour long tours begin at 6:30pm and will leave every 15 minutes until 8 pm. Timed tickets are sold prior to the event, with remaining tickets at the door; however, tickets sell out early and group sizes are limited, so it is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance. Beginning September 19, tickets can be purchased at the Old Academy (150 Main Street) Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm or on the society’s website, www.wethersfieldhistory.org. Tours are appropriate for ages 13 and up. Tickets are $20 per person. Rain date is Sunday, October 21.

This year’s theme with all new characters is “Business People of Wethersfield.” The tours will showcase a variety of people from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, some well known, and some not so well known, who helped build our community with their businesses. There are fascinating stories to tell, so don’t miss this year’s tour! The evening begins and ends at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center at 200 Main Street with hot cider and cookies.
