Drawing from Photograph
February 19, 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Drawing a Realistic Portrait From a Photograph
Wethersfield Library hosts Drawing a Realistic Portrait From a Photograph with instructor Nick Frasco. This class will focus on using the “grid” technique for layout and proportions. “Tortilla sticks” blending tools will be utilized and erasers to give detailed highlight to make the portrait “pop”. Use of these tools will discussed and demonstrated. Participants are encouraged to bring in their own photographs (preferable 8x10s). A photograph will be provided for those who do not have their own. No previous art experience needed.
Nick Frasco holds a BFA in Illustration from PAIER College of Art. He is an art instructor at The R.J. Kinsella Magnet School of Performing Arts and at The Wethersfield Academy of the Arts.
The class will be held on Tuesday, February 19th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Registration is required and space is limited. Wethersfield residents only through February 11th 2019. Non-residents may register after that date. Register in person at the Wethersfield Library or by calling the Information Desk at 860-257-2811.
