February 21, 6:30pm – 7:45pm. Author Eileen Albrizio at Wethersfield Library

Author and Wethersfield resident Eileen Albrizio will be at the Wethersfield Library, Thursday, February 21st from 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. to discuss her book The Windsome Tree: A Ghost Story. This haunting story tells the story of “Mercy Amoretto who, while grieving the loss of her child, takes her therapist’s advice and starts to clean out the clutter in her life. In the garage, she finds an old tire and rope and, in a fanciful moment, creates a tire swing. Unknown to her, the rope, the tire, and the tree share a violent history. Once they are connected, that history is unleashed in the form of two child spirits from decades past.”

Eileen Albrizio is a former ABC and NPR radio news host and journalist. During her tenure, she earned numerous first-prize honors for her news and features from the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. She’s a graduate of the CT School of Broadcasting and has earned a BFA in Theatre and an MA in English. She is the author of numerous volumes of short literature, which include poetry, plays, and short stories. This is her first novel. Signed copies of the book will be available for $15.
