Annual Heritage Weekend

MAY 29, 10:00AM – 4:00PM. HERITAGE WEEKEND

On the lawn of the Keeney Cultural Memorial Center, 200 Main Street. Join the Wethersfield Historical Society and The 2nd Continental Light Dragoons, commissioned December 12, 1776. They will provide information about the Dragoons also known as “Sheldon’s Horse.”

Then at 12:00pm, veterans will be honored along with The Col. John Chester Fife and Drum Corp providing music before and after the honored ceremony. Welcome the Chester Fife and Drum Corp on celebrating their 81st anniversary! In addition there will be Revolutionary War military demonstrations with drills, artillery and horse. 18th century craft demonstrations will also be spaced out over the lawn.

THE WETHERSFIELD HERITAGE WALK

The Wethersfield Heritage Walk is a three mile self tour guided by exhibit kiosks and wayside panels through Main Street The Cove, Broad Street Green, and more! Look out for brochures at Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main Street or other stores and restaurants around the Main Street area. Also see brochure here!
