Wethersfield Chamber along with Town of Wethersfield to Host 9 th Annual Holidays On Main

The 9th Annual Holidays on Main will be held on Thursday, December 6th, from 5 to 9pm, in any weather! Last year we welcomed over 5,000 community members to the Holidays on Main event, which is hosted by the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Town of Wethersfield. At 4pm, Main Street between Church and Center Street will be closed off, with participating businesses extending north toward State Street, and along Main to Garden Street!

Details of the event include Carol Sing-along Featuring the Wethersfield High School Choralaires beginning at 5:45pm by the tree at Main and Marsh Street. Opening Remarks from our Mayor Amy Bello, and Renee DiNino of iHeart Radio, Santa Arrives by Firetruck, and then the Tree Lighting by the Wethersfield Library’s essay contest winner. Santa will make his way over to the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire House for free visits! Strolling entertainment at various locations along Main Street will include fire juggling at 5pm, Colonel Chester Fife and Drum, Sweet Adelines at the Main Street Creamery, and horse and wagon rides at Heirloom Market will be $1. The Winter Farmer’s Market will be open near the Webb Barn, with many of your favorite vendors.

At 5pm the doors to The Silent Auction at the Webb Barn Open revealing sparkling decorated trees of all sizes, wreaths, wall art, and gift baskets! This year we are sharing the proceeds with the Town of Wethersfield’s Social and Youth Services Department. We are accepting Donations of Decorated Trees, Wreaths, Holiday Gift Baskets and Decorations. Also in the Webb Barn, as a special treat there is a free Wine Tasting! Along with selected Craft vendors and area non-profit groups. Safe Grad will have a Table promoting Wethersfield High School Merchandise- lovely gift idea for your student! At the entrance to the Barn, The Chamber is sponsoring a Craft Beer Garden featuring selections from Boondoogle, Still Hill, and City Steam, cans will be available for off-site consumption. Please be sure to make your way over to the Heirloom Market to purchase locally grown Christmas Trees, hand painted signs and holiday decorations! Several of the Main Street stores and restaurants will be open for business! Including Live Right Wellness, Wethersfield Travel, and many of the Wethersfield Shopkeepers, The Main Street Creamery, Neill Walsh Jewelers, First Church Gift Shop, Webb Deane Stevens Gift shop and Larissa Lake. The Hurlbut-Dunham house, is decorated for the holidays, and the Keeney Center will feature several decorated table top Christmas Trees a tag sale and a bake sale. On Street, there will be Refreshments and Food, including Nora’s cupcakes, hot dogs from the Knights of Columbus, J Restaurant/Bar with the Wethersfield Yacht Club, and Wethersfield Chamber’s own Kettle corn.
